ELDATool: A Statecharts-based Tool for Prototyping Multi-Agent Systems
نویسندگان
چکیده
ELDATool, which is implemented in Java as an Eclipse plug-in, supports an iterative process involving the following phases: detailed design, automatic code generation and simulation. The high-level design, which is the input to this iterative process, can be obtained through currently available agent-oriented methodologies such as PASSI and GAIA. In order to show the main characteristics of the ELDATool, a simple case study is presented.

Modeling Multi-Agent Systems through Event-driven Lightweight DSC-based Agents
To date several agent models and related programming frameworks have been introduced for developing distributed applications in terms of multi-agent systems in open and dynamic environments. Among them, those based on lightweight architectures, asynchronous messages/events and state-based programming such as Jade, Bond and Actors have demonstrated great effectiveness for modeling open and distr...
متن کاملFormal driven prototyping approach for multiagent systems
Even if Multi-Agent Systems are recognised as an appealing paradigm for designing many computer systems ranging from complex distributed systems to intelligent software applications they are still difficult to engineer. Many methodologies exist for engineering MAS. A common point of many of them is to produce different work products or models during the different phases. Each work product or mo...
متن کاملRequirements Analysis and Prototyping using Scenarios and Statecharts
This paper shows a way to model the requirements of a business information system using scenarios and statecharts. Inconsistency and redundancy problems are avoided by generating the scenarios from an integrated structured state chart model. The approach uses precise action semantics, supports changing requirements and enables seamless generation of a fully functional prototype for end user req...

In application domains, such as distributed information retrieval, content management and distribution, eCommerce, the agent-based computing paradigm has been demonstrated to be effective for the analysis, design and implementation of distributed software systems. In particular, several agent-oriented methodologies, incorporating suitable agent models, frameworks and tools, have been to date de...
متن کاملPASSIM: a simulation-based process for the development of multi-agent systems
This paper presents the Process for Agent Specification, Simulation and Implementation (PASSIM), a simulation-based development process for Multi-agent Systems (MASs), which was obtained by integrating the well-known and established Process for Agent Societies Specification and Implementation (PASSI) methodology and a Statecharts-based simulation methodology supporting functional and nonfunctio...
